Emperor Ashoka's celestial Observatory

Lost in the mountaineous jungles of the Deccan peninsula, lies the observatory of Emperor Ashoka. This mechanical observatory is powered by the torrential springs and waterfalls of the site. The main gnomon and auxillary observational decks can rotate and was an analogue computer in itself. Built by the emperor, it was used to observe the cosmos and study astronomy.
